THE LARGE COUNTRYSIDE OF MAREMMA

Maremma extends from Lazio to Tuscany and develops strongly since the XII century thanks to the expansion of the city of Siena, which strengthens the castles in the area and restores most of the towns. The integral reclamation occurred after World War I made the Maremma a land rich in cattle characterized by the presence of vast expanses for grazing. • Magliano, a fortified medieval village on a hill of ancient olive trees where you can admire the "Olivo della strega", one of the oldest in Europe that has nearly 5000 years old
• Pitigliano, known for offering an evocative scene thanks to night lights which are reflected on the centuries-old tuff Rock dug for build homes and shelters.
