Green hills, ancient villages and cities of art make up what is the Aretino territory.
ARETINE VALLEY MEETING POINT
The confluence point of three of the four valleys that are part of the province of Arezzo, is surrounded to the north by the Casentino, to the south from the Chiana Valley, to the east from the Valtiberina where the first section of the Tiber flows and finally, to the northwest from the upper Valdarno with its characteristic "flounce" landscape consisting of yellow reliefs due to the stratification of clay , gravel and sand that creates striking and colorful scenery.

But the Aretino is above all the home of great artists such as Petrarca, Piero della Francesca, Michelangelo who have left signs of their art in various sites of the territory. For fans of Romanesque art,the different churches and castles of the territory allow a full immersion in the Middle Ages although several centuries before much of the province of Arezzo was inhabited by the ancient and fascinating population of the Etruscans, testifying to the great importance of the same city of Arezzo in the Etruscan era.
Traditions and tyings
An unmissable path in the Aretino territory is also the discovery of the characteristic vineyards that adorn the slopes of the province; the crops in this area offer a wide selection of red, white and even sparkling wines; Since the 1500s, in fact, the province of Arezzo is known for the production of the delicious Trebbiano, very fruity white wine.
The aretino territory is rich in artistic itineraries but also food and wine: famous the aretina griffonphis prepared using some parts of the veal snout and cooked in stew with aromas and spices and the cat aretino, tronchetto wet with alchermes (sweet liqueur of red color) and stuffed with cream, thick, chocolate.
Finally, Arezzo preserves the techniques and methods of processing goldsmith. From Sansepolcro, Cortona, Pieve Santo Stefano and Anghiari are born the most beautiful and unique jewels in the world. Two events were born with the intention of promoting and enhancing this tradition: OroArezzo,which is held every year in the spring, and the Orafa Art Biennale.
