Workmanship of the marble of Carrara

The material that inspired Michelangelo and Canova

We admire and appreciate in all their glory. Are the Alpi Apuane, example of how nature can give valuable raw materials. Here comes the marble work, recognized for its value worldwide and able to enchant artists such as Michelangelo and Canova.

The quarries from which is derived the Carrara marble, have an ancient origin dating back to the first century: they are a real highlight of the entire Tuscany and recognized worldwide for their inestimable value. From rudimentary extractions inexperienced processing, we moved in years to perfect techniques in accuracy and in keeping the quality of the marble extracted.

Worked by hand, the marble finish enhances the local artisans that have passed down the art. The Shopkeepers of Carrara, who devoted a lifetime to perfect techniques and tools are now much in demand worldwide because the only ones who can give splendour to this material.

The wonderful suggestion that give the Cave has remained intact over time, as well as the passion that every stone-carver puts in order to finish the block of marble. From bigger centres of extraction, including Colonnata, home of tasty Bacon, we get a very fine pure white material and devoid of grain. Unique white marble you can regard the gold of Tuscany
