MIELE DI SPIAGGIA

Sweet nectar of the Litorale Pisano

Sun and sea-scented honey, this is the sweet nectar that millions of busy bees give the man in the Parco di Migliarino San Rossore in Litorale Pisano. Idyllic place not only for plant species also for its mild climate and the isolation created by the pine forest which runs alongside.

During the flowering period the natural park is filled with rows of yellow flowers on which are seen fluttering bees. The honey produced is a particular variety of wildflowers, organic certification. Miele di spiaggia has characteristics closely linked to geography and flora that combine to make it happen as plants of camuciolo, Cistus that produce essential oils. A taste so unique have also conquered the palate of the former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Unlike traditional millefiori honey beach is transparent, fluid and has a light color and amber. To taste and seize all its organoleptic characteristics is tasted raw on the slices of bread or on toast, or paired with cheese both fresh and aged cheeses.
