Grape Colombana Peccioli

An ancient fruit from the table of Valdera

The Uva Colombana has ancient origins date back to the 17th century, when Saint Columba planted in the territory a number of grape varieties that were intended for the production of wine.

The particularity of this grape is its special preservation which makes it an ideal fruit for all seasons. The Uva Colombana, left her store in bedroom, local country details ventilated so that the wind blows gently; manages to keep its freshness even in winter.

In the past its rich production made it a product known throughout the territory, but today, only cultivated by some farmers in Peccioli, is considered a rarity and a delicacy to be found only in Valdera .
