White gold of Volterra

Volterran Truffle is a fungus that links its name to homeland for history and tradition. Near Volterra, within the wooded areas, the "gold diggers" have always been with their trained dogs, to look for this treasure known all over the world. The difficulty in finding it makes it a very rare and precious product. The scents I decided that mark knows of Tuscan land and its intense flavor makes it an ideal condiment for fresh pasta dishes.

Here is the most famous truffles around Volterra:

  • The white truffle is the most prized because of its difficulty to search for it
  • The summer truffle, from a decidedly aromatic
  • The Marzuolo truffle, the most accessible, lingering taste that is dedicated to Volterra Mercato del Tartufo Marzuolo.
