Every year in the city of Siena organises many events for the Christmas period from early December until the end of January.

Markets, street food, music and gastronomy make the city of the Palio even more attractive for tourists. The medieval streets equipped with lighting and decorations are perfect for experiencing the magical Christmas atmosphere.

The Park near Piazza Gramsci and fortitude, it becomes a Christmas village with skating on ice, stalls with Christmas products and a food court for a snack. Open every day from 1 December until 31 January, 25 and 31 December inclusive.

If you are in Siena during the holidays is worth visiting the Church of San Francesco with the crib exhibition in art and traditions of the people from 25 December until 24 January. Instead, a large installation of crib is inside the train station, open to the public from 7 December to 10 January. In Piazza del Campo you can attend a Live Nativity scene animated by groups of small Contrada members Saturday, December 19, with the musical accompaniment of the band city of Palio.
