Typical cake of Carnival

The donut-shaped Berlingozzo is a characteristic of the city of Prato, whose origins date back to the de ' Medici that seems to go really greedy.

Always is a typical dessert of the Carnival period, as its name comes from Berlingaccio, a 15th-century mask used during this event. The old recipe of the cake is kept by the women of Lawn with great care, and its preparation is always respectful of the doses and ingredients handed down from generation to generation.
