IN THE HEART OF THE MOUNTAIN

Zeri lies at the foot of a mountain relief of the Appennino of Parma, in the heart of the Valley crossed by clear streams of the river Magra.

Historic Tuscan town whose origins are traced back to the bronze age, was always considered a strategic point due to its location near important towns.

Surrounded by cliffs that make the entire northern area Lunigiana a this Green place is characterized by the presence of dense forests enhance the beautiful hiking and trekking throughout the year.

 

Traditions and Typical products

The specialty of the place is the "moglo", also known as "moghiolo". A particular cake with chestnut flour and water that is baked on chestnut leaves, within the traditional testi. This particular cast iron pot, covered with embers, favours a particular unique cooking the flavor of this cake.

The traditions of Zeri are related to mountain, where together with the surrounding villages the country celebrates the popular songs related to the ancient past and life in the Woods.
