Tuscany and Florence are the favourite destinations for tourists to visit in autumn, according to the survey by Confcommercio-Institute Piepoli.
The mild climate and lower prices are the main reasons for this choice. A visit to the artistic beauties, an excursion into the autumn landscape and a stop to taste the excellence of food and wine in the area: what could be better? Museums and art galleries are the main travel destinations, followed by food and wine and visits to villages and castles.
After Tuscany, Lombardy and Trentino South Tyrol: in general, for 67% of respondents, Italy is the main destination of the autumn holidays; only in the 18-34 age group does abroad still exert an enviable charm.
