In the Amiata is celebrated the arrival of spring
The first Sunday after Easter, on April 8th 2018, will take place the Festa della Pina. Traditional event of the Amiata area near the suggestive Sanctuary of the Madonna di Lamula, on the slopes of the village of Montelaterone (Arcidosso).
According to the tradition Sundays the boys donate a small branch of green to the girls who in the afternoon, at the Pieve di Lamula, decide whether to accept or return the gift. Keeping it means mutual love, return it not.
The festival is therefore a true hymn to love and fertility and a welcome to the summer.
