The bonfires of San Geminiano takes place on 31 December 2018, in Pontremoli, on the occasion of the Patron Saint.
A long history accompanies this ancient medieval festival that represents a challenge between two parishes and two patrons, who are competing for the biggest bonfire and durable. On 17 January, the parish of San Nicolò turn on his bonfire in the riverbed lean, while on 31 January in San Geminiano into that green.
The Festival will take place at the bridge of Cresa at 19:30. The fire will be lit by Stokers of San Geminiano. For the occasion will be held also the fair of St Geminianus, food stands and handicraft filled festive streets of the city.
