The Carnival is coming, and as every year in Tuscany you will not lose the opportunity to celebrate it in the best possible way, between parties, floats, music and lots of fun!

The Carnival in Tuscany is synonymous with celebration, an opportunity to celebrate together between colorful masks and music in many locations always careful to renew their costumes, but still retaining the charm local tradition!


Foiano della Chiana, the challenge of building sites

A warm event because each mask, each created from districts of the country known as "yards", he challenges under the attentive eye of a very particular jury. A painter, a journalist, an art critic, a sculpture and a set designer who together will have the task to enshrine the winner!

The Baroque Carnival in Castiglion Fibocchi

Here the Carnival has a special taste. It has always been known as the Festival of dances and music in honor of the Lord of the country, Bocco. Pomp and beauty are the masters of Castiglion Fibocchi scenario where everything is allowed by permission of the King, the protagonist of the masks in the country that opens its doors to the event over the weekend of February 16-17 February and 23-24.


The floats on the waterfront of Follonica

The 10, 17 and 24 February and 3 March, Follonica turns to give life to Chariots of their wards. An event capable of generating enthusiasm in an entire town during the Festival and beyond. The majority of citizens is involved in the preparation of floats that parade and as they battle to win the glory days! Here, fable and magic is mixed with political satire and the representation of the most important historical periods, around the Boardwalk in front of tens of thousands of citizens and onlookers in celebration!


Fancy dress parades and Tuscan specialties in Piombino

One of the most popular carnivals of Tuscany which takes place in mid-February on the streets of the town. The 8, 9, 11 and 13 February the protagonist is only one: papier-mâché, the chariot of King Cicciolo wine as tradition soul enthusiasms and releases energy until it burned in the day of Mardi Gras! For the duration of the Carnival can taste Tuscan specialties, combining fun and good food in full Tuscan Style!


The religious Carnival in San Giovanni Valdarno

St. John Carnival has religious origins and was created with the intent to remember their loved ones in five Sundays leading up to Fat Tuesday. Over time the custom became a joyous occasion, and right in the halls of the Basilica which once housed the pilgrimage, today the country is found to taste the typical products of the area and spend a day together.

Every Sunday, the parade of floats is steaming from flag-waving locals and to all downtown streets even the little ones can enjoy themselves with the usual "masquerades" after the mass of 11.00.


The Carnival of Viareggio, among the most important in Italy

The most famous and the most anticipated. The event of the year attended by lovers of celebration and of allegory which annually find themselves from every part of Tuscany and Italy to attend the feast! By the protagonist Burlamacco, Viareggio official mask inspired by the Commedia dell'Arte was born way back in 1930; the numerous carts, unique in their kind for sympathy and greatness.

Throughout the month of February the parade more Tuscan folk doesn't stop, ready to make a spectacle as usual!
