If what one hopes is another ski trip in the mountains for winter sports enthusiasts probably said "March snow lasts from the evening to the morning", isn't exactly a good omen; for those who can't wait to shake off winter, is definitely a phrase that gives us hope.
Although, in fact, is not so rare to attend late snowfalls earlier in the spring, or the so-called "marzolina snow", the ground hardly in March is especially cold to allow for proper preservation the snowpack, which due to a higher Sun on the horizon, melts within a few hours, and then most often lasts from night to morning.
