SBT Storica Biscotteria Toscana Ltd is a family-owned artisanal biscuit factory which deals with production of typical Tuscan cakes and biscuits gluten-free. It is based in Figline e Incisa Valdarno, in the locality of Burchio.

The company was founded in 1953, in the difficult years of World War II, as the typical country bakery, in which it was possible for customers to bake their own bread, previously kneaded at home.

Over the years, SBT renews itself focusing mainly on the production of handmade biscuits, typical of the Tuscan tradition, such as almond or chocolate cantuccini. After two generations of confectioners, the entire production is entrusted to the expert hands of Massimiliano, one of the owners, who decided to specialize himself in the production of confectionery totally gluten free.

Massimiliano's creations are the combination of the flavours of Tuscan tradition and those of other culinary cultures, such as its special gluten-free cakes made with rum directly imported from Cuba. The variety of products that you can find at SBT is wide, including:

  • dry biscuits for all occasions (like a cup of tea with friends or to sweeten a meal)
  • cakes and pastries ideal for any event (weddings, birthdays or graduation)
  • seasonal products (such as panettone or typical sweets of Carnival)
  • homemade ice cream

Flour and eggs strictly local, a boundless passion handed down for generations and the respect of processing times are the secret ingredients that the SBT puts in his desserts that for decades have taken by the throat many inhabitants of Valdarno.
