Description and instructions for use: The bitter oranges are the fruits of a tree also called melangolo or citrus aurantium imported from China in the eleventh century, robust and used as an ornamental plant in the southern cities.

Le Tassinaie cultivates them both in pots and in the ground. The fruits, with the acidic pulp and the strongly bitter skin, must necessarily be transformed to make them pleasant. The peel is used, cut into slices, and the juice and the pulp are boiled at low temperature under vacuum. Lemon juice and organic cane sugar are then added.

A jam for amateurs: good on bread, yogurt, pies and cakes for breakfast.
