AN ATTRACTIVE PLACE OF THE LUCCA AREA DEDICATED TO DANTE ALIGHIERI
Mulazzo lies among the green hills of Lunigiana, bordered by the Magra's river with origins dating back to the 3rd millennium BC. As evidence of this, the discovery of valuable Statue Stele della Lunigiana, stone relics that depict stylised warriors.
In this ancient village has always been associated with the figure of Dante Alighieri, called to defend the interests of the Malaspina Tuscan Ghibelline family that administered Mulazzo.
Many points of interest are dedicated to Tuscan poet, which still preserves the history of this charming village. The monument to Dante Alighieri of the painter and sculpture Arturo Dazzi, the 11th-century Torre di Dante and the Museo Casa di Dante in Lunigiana.

Mulazzo has always been very attentive to safeguarding local products of Lunigiana to which it belongs. In respect of recipes and traditional flavours, this place offers many tours where you can taste the local specialties: the "salt cakes of Lunigiana", the "lardo di Colonnata IGP", the "porcini mushrooms of Borgotaro IGP" and fine DOCG's wines.
