The history of the village is rich and valuable, and has its roots in the 15th century: historic home of great value, began as a defensive Castle of Florentine family and became the ' 600 Balmaceda a convent of Carmelite friars. The current look is the work of the Florentine painter Raffaello Sorbi.
Today, the estate is inhabited by the family Budini Gattai, who owns it by 800 and works with passion to create products of high quality, ORGANIC extra virgin olive oil and red wine IGT.
Tenuta i Bonsi unites tradition with modernity, with particular attention to respect for the environment and renewable energies: thanks to the skilful use of scraps, here the olive pit , a great alternative fuel pellet which can be purchased at the Guest House.

With more than 70 hectares, theolive oil is certainly the main product of the estate. The entire production is certified organic , thanks to modern cultivation respecting nature.
The wineries also host various types of wine: an intense red wine at Vin Santo, strong and aromatic, aged in oak cartels.
From the lush forests of the property also come two real delicacies: honey and chestnut honey.
The Villa is available by appointment for all kinds of events: you can find the ideal setting for ceremonies and meetings in two beautiful dining rooms, the Salone del Vecchio Frantoio and the Salone dell'Antico Tornio, or in the picturesque Rock Garden that is well suited to the most diverse arrangements combining elegance and discretion.
