Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 March at Montefioralle, part of the municipality of Greve in Chianti (FI), the 49th Edition of the "Festival of pancakes".
The tradition of pancakes in this small medieval Chianti has ancient origins, Renaissance, when the local population used to prepare them for the celebration of St Joseph.
The Festival which will start from Saturday till Sunday 18 14offers, plus the ability to taste the famous fried rice prepared according to the old recipe, the opportunity to sample many typical local products as canapes, wine and brandies accompanied by live music and shows.
The municipality also offers to visitors a free shuttle service to Piazza Trento in Greve to the castle of Montefioralle, a place where the event takes place.
An opportunity to take a ride in this small town with an ancient flavour, surrounded by medieval walls and towers.
