Fattoria La Villetta was founded in 2009 in the heart of Empolese-Valdelsa, in Cerreto Guidi, from the passion and love for the territory of the Testa family.
Patrizia Palandri and Alberto Testa, in fact purchased the property in 1989 and in a process of valorisation of Tuscan territory and its typical products, undertake the preservation of olive trees of Mignola Cerretana, local cultivars.
The Regione Toscana having appreciated the important initiative, has appointed Fattoria La Villetta as "farmer guardian" of this cultivar of olives.
Among the productions of the company also that of rose, old rose, particularly for their use in the kitchen.
From love for roses of Patrizia, together with the land on which stands the farm, particularly suited to their cultivation, in fact they form a rose garden with an enviable collection of over a thousand types of antique roses.
Roses selected for food use, are used only the petals. The process starts from the collection, for each plant, Roses at the right point of maturity. The single rose are then issued manually the petals by discarding the outermost and imperfect ones.
The petals are then packed fresh for consumption within a few days or dehydrated for a prolonged consumption over time.
