The Hospital of San Francesco de ' Macci in Florence, in the historical centre, you will find the bottega d'Arte Lastrucci of master Bruno and James is specialized in the processing of the Florentine mosaic.

After working for years as Artistic Director of the Mosaics, the most famous Florentine mosaic Gallery and workshop in 2011, master Bruno, along with his son, he decided to dedicate himself exclusively to your creations in the art studio in Via de ' Macci 9.

Bruno started to engage in this ancient art since the tender age of eight. Once finished primary school, her day was taking place all within the mosaic workshop of Montici owned by an American artist named Richard Almond Blow. The school Montici resulted in important collaborations with international contemporary painters who produced art trail-blazing, today exhibited in renowned art museums.

Bruno Lastrucci is a craftsman and visionary art artist engaged in an ancient craft that carries forward with traditional tools and techniques and with extreme passion and dedication. His art focuses mainly on portrait stone; celebrated his work of Joseph Lancaster on permanent display at Lizzadro Lapidary Art Museum, and other important works of art placed in prestigious private collections.

This passion and care was transmitted to son Iacopo, whose beginnings are apprenticed to Santa's workshop, where he learns, size and experience one of the most fascinating and precious art of traditional landscape that lead him to produce works in committed Fiorentino of extreme quality and refinement.

Florentine mosaic, eternal painting

The Florentine mosaic art lives its most flourishing season in the full Medici period. The Medici commissioned works that had to remain carved in history. The mosaic, defined as "eternal painting" by Giorgio Vasari, embodies this purpose to perfection.
